I just bought car tires and was told that the 1st number represented the width of the tread, the second number the height of the sidewall, and the third number the radius of the wheel.
If that holds true for motorcycles, then the difference between a 140/80 15 and a 140/90 15 is the height of the sidewall, not the width of the tire ... and it would affect the accuracy of the speedometer.
SOooo ... which way is right? (I'm so confused!)
